Synopsis of The Portrait of a Lady

Isabel Archer (Nicole Kidman) is young, beautiful, and arrogant, and has stolen the hearts of many men, but she just wants to live freely. Rejected Lord Warburton's proposal at the Garden Manor in England. Later, he went to London to visit his cousin Ralph and his girlfriend. Goodwood's proposal to her was also rejected. At her cousin's house she met the dignified and beautiful Mel. In Florence, Mel introduced him to Osmond (played by John Malkovich), who has no money but high taste.
