Synopsis of The Eccentric Family

In Ping'an City, humans, civet cats, and tengu stand as three pillars, working together to turn the huge wheel of the city. Shimogamo Yasaburo (voiced by Sakurai Takahiro) is the third son of the famous Shimogamo family in the civet cat world. Although he is a civet cat, he can transform into a human form at will. His mentor is Mr. Tengu Akadama. The old Akadama's magic power is not as good as before, and he is passionately in love with the beautiful human woman Benten (voiced by Mamiko Noto). Benten is extremely beautiful and unruly in nature. She is a member of the "Friday Club", a secret organization in Kyoto. The owner of the Shimogamo family, Soichiro, is deeply respected by the tanuki clan. However, he returned to the west a few years ago, and what happened is still a mystery. He left behind four underachieving sons: the eldest son, Shimogamo Yaichiro (voiced by Suwabe Junichi), was old-fashioned and indecisive; the second son, Yajiro, was introverted and autistic and did not care about the world; Yazaburo only wanted to be interesting in everything; Yashiro, the younger brother, is as timid as a mouse. This is the Shimogamo family living in the Forest of Tsutsumi. Their mother firmly believes that one day, her four children will inherit the mantle of their late father and become great civet cats...
