Synopsis of Beauty of the Day

The beautiful middle-class woman Severina (Catherine Deneuve) has a happy family. Pierre (Jean Sorel), the husband of a surgeon, is handsome and gentle, and has a good income, but he has never been able to satisfy his wife's sensuality. Due to her status, Severina had no choice but to get pleasure from imagining that she was being abused and bullied. Unable to bear it, she went to a brothel to sell her body.
