Synopsis of Political Animals

This play is based on the fictional former first family, with the former first lady and current president’s female secretary of state Elaine Barris (played by Sigourney Weaver) as the main line, showing the audience the female secretary of state Elaine. Stories of multiple relationships in politics, family and the media. Elaine became the current Secretary of State after divorcing her husband, former U.S. President Bud (Ciarán Hinds), but found that her responsibilities and burdens were particularly heavy for a woman who needs to play multiple roles. On the one hand, she is a pivotal figure in American politics, but at the same time, she is a wife and a mother. The eldest son Douglas (played by James Wolk) has a bright political future but seems to be hiding a secret. The younger son T.J (played by Sebastian Stan) is so notorious that his mother has a headache, and she herself is also disconnected from her ex-husband. What's worse is that everything Elaine tried to hide was tightly bitten by the equally powerful female reporter Susan Berg (Carla Gugino). Elaine had to work in the country...
