Synopsis of The Abyss

The U.S. nuclear submarine Montana unfortunately disappeared while tracking an unidentified object in the deep sea. The high-pressure diving rig Heart of the Sea foreman Bud (Ed Harris) received an order to cooperate with Captain Coffey (Michael Bean) Michael Biehn (played by Michael Biehn) went to the rescue. What is unexpected is that his wife, Linxi (Mary Elizabeth Mastrantonio), an engineer from the oil company, who has been at odds with Bud, is also going with him. A three-person rescue team dived to the edge of the abyss where the submarine disappeared, only to find that no one survived on the submarine. What is frightening is that there is an unknown monster in the abyss. After a series of crises, Captain Coffey refused to listen to dissuasion and determined that this was a Soviet conspiracy. He decided to launch the nuclear bomb removed from the submarine to the unknown enemy. So Bud and Linxi joined forces to start a desperate struggle. At the critical moment, Bard rescued Linxi regardless of danger, and dived into the abyss to remove the fuse on the nuclear warhead. After completing the task, Bard's oxygen had been exhausted, and at this moment, the monster in the deep sea appeared again...
