"Citizen 4" will be able to highly reconstruct the whole story of the "Prism Gate" incident and truly reveal to the audience the Edward Snowden who was at the center of the whirlpool. Documentary director Poitras herself was also a central figure in the "Prism" incident. The film's title, "citizenfour," is the anonymous codename Snowden used in his early email communications with Poitras. In June 2013, when Poitras flew to Hong Kong to meet Snowden for the first time, the camera she carried with her also truly recorded the scene.
