Synopsis of Children of the Corn

A disaster that has not happened in decades has hit the town of Gatlin, Nebraska. The boy Essek (played by Preston Bailey) claims to be guided by God. He claims that the sins of adults have polluted the entire world. Now is the time to praise God for cleansing the world. The children in the town, led by Essek, killed all the adults, and Gatlin became a veritable children's town. A few years later, veteran Burton (played by David Anders) and his wife Vicky (played by Kandyse McClure) were traveling by car, but got lost and came to the town of Gatlin. The two argued along the way and accidentally bumped into a little boy. Burton got out of the car to examine the body and discovered that the boy's throat had been cut before he died. Due to the lack of communication equipment, Burton drove into the town, hoping to report the strange situation. Little did they know, they had stepped into the death trap set by the children...
