Synopsis of Red River

The story is set in the wilderness of the Midwest after the American Civil War. Thomas Dawson (played by John Wayne) started from scratch. With the assistance of his adopted son Matthew (played by Montgomery Clift) and his assistant Groot, he After 14 years of hard work, he finally established his own ranch on a prairie in Texas, USA. Because of the economic depression in the South, Thomas decided to drive more than 10,000 cattle on the ranch to the north for sale in Missouri. He gathered his men and horses and made full preparations. This group of western cowboys drove a large number of cattle and started this thousand-mile journey. This difficult and dangerous journey made the cowboys more and more tired, and made the rancher Thomas more stubborn and harsh, and gradually lost his support. Finally, Matthew led the rebellion, and the other cowboys followed suit. After leaving the injured Thomas where he was, the large force set off in the other direction.
