Synopsis of Playing by Heart

Hannah (Gena Rowlands) and Paul (Sean Connery), who are in their twilight years, are an old couple who seem to have a happy marriage and family, and they have three daughters. They are all slim and graceful. However, the emotional journey of the three daughters with very different personalities has not been smooth sailing. Meredith (Gillian Anderson), a celibate theater director, has always insisted that she has no affection for men, but when love comes, she can't stop; in pursuit of sensual satisfaction, Mildred (Alan Anderson) Ellen Burstyn) betrays her marriage, but suffers from inner emotional struggles; the maverick Joan (Angelina Jolie) indulges in nightclubs every night until Keena (Ryan Phillippe) ), she met the true love of her life.
