Synopsis of Helix Season 1

A mysterious virus broke out at the Arctic Biological Systems Research Base in the polar region, causing three people to be infected and two people to die. In order to find out the cause of the virus and prevent more than a hundred other scientists from various countries from being put in danger, the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, at the request of the military, dispatched Alan Farragut (Billy Campbell) and Julie Four elites including Ya Walker (played by Kyra Zagorsky), Sarah Jordan (played by Jordan Hayes) and Doreen Boyle (played by Catherine Lemieux) flew to Arctic. The survivor of the three, Peter (Neil Napier), is Allen's brother. A ridiculous incident caused his brother and his wife Julia to divorce. Although the group was warmly received by Dr. Hata (played by Hiroyuki Sanada), there seemed to be ulterior secrets hidden in the base. With the extremely weak Peter suddenly disappearing, Allen's investigation began to develop in an unpredictable direction...
