Synopsis of Mahler

The film begins with the Mahlers reminiscing about the past on a fast-moving train. Mahler grew up in a Jewish family. He loved music since childhood, studied hard, and finally became a composer. Just when he was complacent, a soldier broke into the peaceful and harmonious life of Mahler and his wife. The rift in his relationship with his wife appeared and continued to deepen. Mahler seemed to suffer from a phobia, constantly having imaginings that his wife would leave him. However, Mahler was very busy, and there were many requests for music, so he had to immerse himself in writing to cope with it. Towards the end, on the slowing train, Mahler suddenly fell ill. The doctor who was traveling with him diagnosed the illness and thought it was an insignificant ailment; but Mahler's personal doctor understood that Mahler was suffering from an incurable disease.
