# Synopsis of Indictment: The McMartin Trial

A TV movie based on a real case in the United States, produced by HBO. The McMartin family originally ran a preschool school, which was passed down by their maternal grandmother. A mother of a child went to the police station to accuse the McMartin family's grandson, who is also one of the teachers at this school, of sexually molesting her 2-and-a-half-year-old son. The police asked other parents of students to ask if their children had been sexually harassed in this way, but at first there seemed to be no results. Later, these parents took their children to a place similar to a children's treatment center. Under the guidance of the staff there, many children said they had received sexual harassment at that school. As a result, the McMartin family, including the grandmother, mother, grandson, granddaughter, and three other female teachers were arrested and imprisoned because everyone believed that children would not make up such lies.
