Synopsis of The Ghost Lovers

A poignant love story that makes people’s eyes wet. Song Lianhua (Li Jing) and Han Shilong (Lin Weitu) are young ladies from a wealthy family and sons of high-ranking officials. Before they were ready to get married, the Han family was dismissed from office and Shilong was exiled back to his hometown with his father. The lovers had been separated for more than ten years, but Lian Hua became ill and passed away due to a serious illness. Shi Long was heartbroken when he learned about it. One day, the dead soul of Lotus appeared. Even though the world was separated from each other, Long still decided to marry her. However, his friend Zhang Tie (Jin Wurong) strongly opposed it and asked a Taoist priest to exorcise the ghost. Shilong overcomes all difficulties and finally gets married and spends the night with Lotus. It's a pity that I woke up and found the lotus rising into the sky. The touching plot is heartbreaking.
