Synopsis of Starter for 10

This is Brian Jackson (played by James McAvoy), who has just entered his first year at the University of Bristol in England. The indulgent parties and ecstasy cigarettes have made him feel dizzy, but what attracts him even more is University Challenge, a TV show that competes in knowledge. Although the teacher in charge of leading the team (Benedict Cumberbatch) began to dismiss him, Brane won the qualification for the competition by relying on his accumulation of knowledge and enthusiasm since childhood. Sparks of ambiguity also arise from teammate Alice (Alice Eve). However, on the college campus with rich opportunities, Brian fell in love with another thoughtful girl Rebecca (Rebecca Hall) and spent his first New Year away from home with her. However, when strong opponents compete and the pressure of a love triangle comes, is Brian ready to face the challenges of life and win growth credits?
