Synopsis of The Manxman

Based on the best-selling novel, it tells the story of a fisherman and a lawyer who fall in love with the heroine at the same time, and she must choose between them. Although the original work is relatively bitter and depressing, Hitchcock skillfully turned it into a watchable romance film. The film highlights the triangle relationship that Hitchcock loved to deal with, and the male protagonist still regained the Carl from "The Boxing Ring" ·Brison, because Hitchcock thought he had an innocent temperament that fit the image of a fisherman. Hitchcock was overjoyed when he first hired Anne Audra, because this was the first blonde he had found who fit his idea of a perfect goddess. From then on, Hitchcock's enthusiasm for blondes was out of control.
