A Fortunate Man Lykke-Per

Synopsis of A Fortunate Man

It is adapted from the classic novel "Lucky Pierre" of the same name by Danish writer Henrik Pontoppidan, a Nobel Prize winner for literature. The novel "Lucky Pierre" is a classic of Danish neorealism that was born a hundred years ago. The book describes an innocent young man who pursues progress and is determined to reform, but suffers repeated setbacks in society and ends up living in the countryside. The era described in the book coincides with Denmark's transition from agriculture to industrialization, and it outlines for us a picture of Danish society during this period.
