Synopsis of Dominion: Prequel to the Exorcist
Merlin (played by Stellan Skarsgård) was once a priest with a very firm belief. However, after the baptism of World War II, Merlin's spiritual world has undergone earth-shaking changes. After the war, Merlin was still living in nightmare-like memories, unable to extricate himself. This dangerous signal made him decide to embark on a journey to rediscover the meaning of life and faith. Merlin came to Cairo, where he met a famous collector. At the collector's suggestion, Merlin joined an archaeological excavation team and traveled to Kenya to investigate a newly unearthed Christian church. Legend has it that there are priceless monuments hidden in the church, and the collector hopes that Merlin can find them first. However, what everyone does not know is that the real devil is hidden in the ruins-like ruins, and the arrival of the archaeological team is about to awaken it.
