Synopsis of Patient 14

Fifteen deaf patients participated in an experimental clinical program in an effort to restore hearing. Fourteen of the participants became severely mentally ill during the trial, and were eventually killed due to severe side effects of discontinuing treatment. This film is about the only survivor in the experiment, Patient 14, Liza Raines. She gained super hearing—specifically, she was able to hear the frequencies emitted by people's thoughts.
