Synopsis of Passion

The story takes place in Paris, the capital of France, at the end of the 18th century. Jeanne, a young and beautiful female apprentice, met and fell in love with the Spanish Minister Don Diego by chance. Jeanne's boyfriend Armand stabbed Diego to death in a rage and was thrown into prison. After that, Jeanne became the mistress of Count Dubarry and King Louis XV, and proposed to the king to pardon Armand. After being released from prison, Armand participated in the revolution. In the end, the revolutionary masses overthrew the regime and sent Jeanne to the Revolutionary Court for trial. Armand was executed for trying to rescue Jeanne, and Jeanne was subsequently guillotined.
