Synopsis of Man Down

"Man Down" tells the story of a male protagonist played by Shia LaBeouf who is tortured and destroyed by war, bereavement, and a series of events that collapse his inner world. This latest film from director Dito Montiel ("A Guide to Saints") offers a brutally subjective look into the broken hearts of "heroes" to help viewers understand the inner trauma that plagues soldiers returning from war. Gabriel Drummer (played by Shia LaBeouf) is a husband, a father, and a Marine Corps soldier. Of course, these identities only exist before humanistic society dies. Now, Gabriel is wandering the post-apocalyptic land, and together with his good comrade Davin Roberts (played by Jai Courtney), he struggles to survive in the harsh environment of the end of the world, which is full of danger and sacrifice. At the same time, Gabriel is also struggling with his own memories: the horrific memories of his experience in Afghanistan; his beloved wife Natalie (Kate Mara), and their marriage on the verge of falling apart; and...
