Batman: Year One

Synopsis of Batman: Year One

The original comic book "Batman: Year One" was first published in 1988. Author Frank Miller groundbreakingly recreated Batman's origin story - who he is and how he became Batman. This work begins when Bruce Wayne returns to Gotham City for the first time, laying a new foundation for the birth of this legendary character and becoming the most important page in official history. As the beginning of all stories, this episode tells the origins of each character. Harvey Dent is not an eye-catching young talent, but a prosecutor who has repeatedly failed. Catwoman Selina Keller is not an elegant lady from upper class society, but a poor prostitute who came from the streets. In Gotham City, where they live, officials collude with gangs, and the police are the protective umbrella for criminals. The newly transferred police officer James Gordon wants to be a good policeman in a fallen city; Bruce Wayne, who has just returned to his hometown and is ready to wipe out his sins, learned through bloodshed that only by making people fear can he be respected. In the middle of the night, he appeared quietly and disappeared into the darkness with a wisp of breeze brought by his wide black cloak. Some say he is a savage thug, some say he is a bloodthirsty madman, and some think he is just an urban legend. Every legend has its origin...
