Synopsis of Cupcakes

Anna (played by Dana Ivgy) bakes colorful and sweet cupcakes all day long to comfort others, but she is depressed because her husband ran away from home. The Eurovision Song Contest preliminaries were broadcast live on TV. Sisters and friends gathered to watch, not forgetting to cheer and sing. Unexpectedly, the gay neighbor Ofer (played by Ofer Shechter) secretly sent a clip of everyone singing to register for the competition. What’s even more surprising is that this choir composed of gays and housewives was finally selected to be the Israeli national team! Ordinary men and women instantly transform into the hope of the country. Is it possible for them to win glory for the country? Israeli gay director Ito Fox has always been fond of singing and dancing. Israel, surrounded by powerful enemies, is located in Asia, but culturally it often identifies more with Europe. The new film "Cake Cup" takes the Eurovision Song Contest as the background, showing the unrestrained and passionate Israeli life with laughter and tears, and at the same time showing love and care for disadvantaged groups such as gays and women.
