Synopsis of A Dog's Way Home

This film is a companion piece to "A Dog's Purpose" and tells the story of dog Bella as she travels four hundred miles to get home. The male protagonist Lucas encounters the puppy Bella in an abandoned building. Although his mother banned dogs, he persuaded her to bring Bella back to his care and brought her to the veterans' hospital where he worked to bring joy and comfort to the patients. In an accident, the grown-up Bella was accidentally lost, and due to some strange combination of circumstances, she was separated from her owner. Bella was so anxious that she was separated from her master. She climbed over the snowy mountains and grasslands, along the Rocky Mountains, and across the dangerous Colorado wilderness. She resolutely embarked on an unknown and arduous 400-mile adventure home just to return to her master. Lucas, back home.
