Synopsis of Trumbo

A biopic of the famous Hollywood screenwriter Dalton Trumbo. Trump entered Hollywood as a screenwriter in the 1930s and has contributed classic works such as "Roman Holiday", "Exodus", "Spartacus" and "Johnny Goes to War". Behind the honor, Trump's career was actually very bumpy. He was persecuted by the Un-American Activities Committee (HUAC) in the late 1940s, was fired by MGM in 1950, and spent time in jail. After he was released from prison, he was blacklisted by the government and was unable to work for a time. Trump borrowed other people's names to write scripts. He once won two Oscars for Best Screenplay for "Roman Holiday" and "The Brave Man", but the author of the scripts at that time was not his name. It was not until 1960 that Trump emerged from persecution and his talent as a screenwriter could be seen again.
