Synopsis of The Town

In the eastern United States, Charles City, located on the outskirts of Boston, is like a lost paradise forgotten by the legal system. Irish-Americans make up a large proportion of the working-class people in the city. The poor living conditions and overwhelming pressure in the area make people take risks. Bank robberies occur from time to time, and everything becomes crazy and hopeless. One morning, the beautiful bank manager Claire Giese (Rebecca Hall) encountered a group of robbers wearing skull masks, and she was even taken hostage. The strange thing is that Claire finally survived unexpectedly, as if this morning's incident had never happened. One day, she met a tall and handsome man, Doug McRae (played by Ben Affleck), and a wonderful fate began, and the fate of the two changed... This film is adapted from the original work by Chuck Hogan.
