The Lost World

The Lost World

Synopsis of The Lost World

A classic silent film in film history, the first monster science fiction film in history, and the first feature film with stop-motion animation. Adapted from the science fiction novel "The Lost World" written by British Arthur Conan Doyle in 1912. A group of scientists discovered a huge dinosaur alive on a desert island, and tried their best to bring one to the city. Unexpectedly, the dinosaur escaped and made a big fuss. The scene in the film where the "lifelike" dinosaurs and human actors co-acted on the same stage amazed audiences and critics at the time. The film makes extensive use of montage shooting. Both the storyline and the special effects are excellent. The later "King Kong" was deeply influenced by this film.
