Synopsis of Stake Land

The family of young Martin (Connor Paolo) was killed by a vampire on a rainy night. Fortunately, a stranger who called himself "Mr." (Nick Damici) arrived and rescued Martin. From then on, when the United States fell to vampire attacks and the national organization was destroyed, Martin followed in the footsteps of Mr. He, and under the latter's training began a journey to find freedom in the north. The two travel between small towns that have been closed off for self-protection, killing vampires and evil villains along the way. They rescue a nun from the mob, but are captured by the Christian Brothers, who firmly believe that vampires are God. Messengers sent to purify the earth, they cooperated with vampires to launch attacks on humans. Martin and his husband were executed for killing members of the Brotherhood, but they narrowly escaped. They continue to move towards the land of freedom in the north, surrounded by the siege of the Brotherhood and their unknown fate along the way...
