Synopsis of Desperation

While driving through the Nervida Desert to the Salt Lake, Peter Jackson (played by Henry Thomas) and his wife Mary (played by Annabeth Gish) were arrested by Kerry police officers because their car had a flat tire. Kerry took the couple to the town of Despair, and Jackson was horrified to find that the town was littered with corpses. When they realized they were in danger, the evil Kerry finally showed his ferocious face and shot Peter dead. In prison, Mary meets the Cavo family, local Tom (played by Charles Durning) and writer John (played by Tom Skerritt). They planned to escape from this murderous cave, and with the help of the magical power of the Cavos' young son David (Shane Haboucha), everyone learned about a tragedy that happened in Despair Town 150 years ago...
