Synopsis of And Then There Were None

The BBC launched a TV series version of "No One Survived" on the occasion of the 125th anniversary of the birth of Agatha Christie, written by Sarah Phelps. The background of the story is set in August 1939, on the eve of the outbreak of World War II. Eight strangers were invited to the island Soldier Island. When they arrived, they were only greeted by the housekeeper and his wife. During dinner, the gramophone in the dining room suddenly sounded, accusing the guests and the housekeeper and his wife of murder. While everyone was panicking, one of the guests died suddenly, and the nightmare began. At present, all the remakes of "There Are No Survivors" in other English-speaking countries have adopted the ending in the stage play. This is the first film and television adaptation in an English-speaking country to adopt the ending of the original work.
