Synopsis of The Longest Yard

The life of Paul Croy (Adam Sandler), the once-famous American football quarterback, fell to the bottom. He was first controversial for a match-fixing incident, and then was sent to prison for drunk driving arrest. Warden Walton Hayson (played by James Cromwell) is a rugby-loving but cruel guy. He appreciated Paul's talent and asked him and other prisoners to form a team to compete with the prison guards' team. Under the guidance of Paul and the gold medal coach Nate Scarborough (Burt Reynolds) who was also behind bars, a strange team was born in prison... The film was adapted from the 1974 Golden Globe Award-winning film of the same name, and won the 2005 BET Comedy Award for Best Supporting Actor (Chris Rock) and the 2005 Youth Choice Award. Professional wrestlers Bill Goldberg, Kevin Nash, Stone Cold Steve Austin and others also starred in the film.
