Synopsis of Alice

Alice (Mia Farrow) has been married to wealthy businessman Tate for many years. Her children are still young and they have no worries about food and clothing. Their daily concerns are about fitness and supplements. Alice fell in love at first sight with another parent, saxophone player Joey, when she was taking her son to school. When Alice accepted a friend's suggestion and went to Chinatown to visit Dr. Yang to solve her back pain problem, Dr. Yang used hypnosis to encourage her to get closer to Joey. At the critical moment, Alice backed down, and Dr. Yang once again sent out invisibility medicine and powder that could see ghosts. . With the help of these magical drugs, Alice finally met Joey. But Alice's loyalty to her husband, her attempts at a writing career, and her desire to work as a nun to save others when she was young always hindered her from realizing her desires. Soon Alice was shocked to find that both men had left him emotionally, Dr. Yang Before leaving, he gave Alice one last magic weapon... The film won the 1990 National Critics Award for Best Actress.
