Synopsis of The Runaways
Before the 1970s, rock music was still a male domain. Even though its influence spread all over the world, an all-female rock band had never appeared. 18-year-old Joan Jett (played by Kristen Stewart) is a rebellious girl who is crazy about rock music. She has always wanted to form a female rock band. With the help of agent Kim Foley (Michael Shannon), they found 15-year-old Cherie Currie (Dakota Fanning) - who is also from Southern California and loves Joan. David Bowie's Girl - on lead vocals. After this, guitarist Rita Ford (Scout Taylor-Compton), drummer Sandy West (Stella Maeve), and bass Jackie Fox successively joined the team, and the all-female band "Runaway" was officially established. The girls thus embarked on a colorful, joyful and joyful musical journey... This film is adapted from the autobiography of Cherie Currie.
