Synopsis of The Act

Hulu has officially ordered the true crime poetry anthology drama "The Act". The drama is created by Nick Antosca (creator of "Channel Zero") and Michelle Dean, and the first season is directed by Laure de Clermont-Tonnerre. Each season of this show will focus on a special case. The first season will be adapted from the true story article "DeeDeeWantedHerDaughterToBeSick,GypsyWantedHerMomToBeMurdered" published by Michelle Dean on Buzzfeed. It tells the story of 48-year-old single mother DeeDee Blanchard who told people around her that her daughter Gypsy Suffered from a variety of serious diseases (such as dementia due to brain injury, leukemia, asthma, etc.), but in fact no one knew that Gypsy was an extremely healthy adult; later DeeDee died from multiple stab wounds, and her neighbors, Relatives and the police discovered that...
