Synopsis of Frankenstein’s Army

During World War II, a graduate student at the Moscow Film Academy named Dimitri (played by Alexander Mercury) was fortunate enough to receive an order from the great leader Comrade Stalin to follow the reconnaissance company led by Novikov (played by Robert Gwilym) to the front line as a field photographer. His shots record the idle moments of the soldiers and the scenes of fierce battles on the battlefield. Of course, there are also the sinful and bestial sides of these soldiers who have lost their humanity in the baptism of war. In a freezing season, the reconnaissance company received a distress call from the code-named Xionghu 303 squad. Novikov led the team to set off for the remote mining area where the other party was located. Unexpectedly, the scene there shocked everyone. The place was littered with corpses and almost uninhabited, as if it had just experienced several tragic battles not long ago. And the terrifying zombies that suddenly appear from time to time threaten the safety of the reconnaissance company. What kind of tragedy happened here?
