Synopsis of Beijing & New York

2008 was a year when China took off, but it was also a year when the U.S. economy declined. Beijing and New York are thousands of miles apart. People from foreign lands with completely different cultural backgrounds are looking for their own ideals and happiness. Jasmine (played by Lin Chiling), a beautiful Chinese woman, went to New York alone to pursue her dreams when she was young; Lan Yi (played by Liu Ye), Jasmine's childhood sweetheart, became famous through unremitting efforts in Beijing; Qiao (Richard De Cree) Grams), a talented American man who inspires to become a photographer. Destiny forces Jasmine to make a choice between two men, two lifestyles, and two cultures...
