Synopsis of I'm Not There

In this biographical film about the life of Bob Dylan, six actors will play Bob Dylan, respectively interpreting Bob's life stories and musical experiences in different eras. The film tells the story of Bob Dylan's early struggles as a folk singer, his emergence as an American folk hero and intellectual in the early 1960s, his controversial transition to rock and roll, his motorcycle accident and his subsequent emergence from the public eye. He has disappeared and retired. In recent years, his focus has not been on recording records but on holding concert tours, such as "The Never Ending Tour" and so on. In an unofficial autobiography of Bob Dylan written by British writer Howard Sunis, most of it is about Dylan's childhood and family life. The book provides us with more information about his work, especially his wife Sula (Charlotte Gainsbourg). In addition, Howard Sunis also revealed a secret scandal about the veteran rock singer.
