Synopsis of The Right One

Godfrey is the story of man so traumatized and guilt ridden by a personal tragedy that he's dealt with it in a profound way: he's decided to be anyone but himself. One day he plays a British art critic, then a poet, the next an urban graffiti artist, a Cuban salsa dancer and many other witty characters. Godfrey's coping mechanisms keep him sane, but he's a man who has absolutely no idea who he is. Sarah Dash, a smart, insightful writer with writer's block who struggles with her own sense of self, stumbles upon him at a gallery opening. Intrigued by her character, Sarah attempts to unravel the mystery of Godfrey while using him to write a new novel. A fragile friendship develops between the two, one characterized by humor, poignancy, self-reflection, and the determination of two wounded people to be able to help each other heal.
