Synopsis of The Mauritanian

The film is adapted from the memoir "Guantánamo Diary" by Mohamedou Ould Slahi. It tells the story of Slahi (played by Taha) who was captured by the US government and imprisoned without charge or sentence. He lost hope. Slahi enlists the help of defense attorney Nancy Hollander (Foster) and assistant Terry Duncan (Woodley), who pursue justice together while facing countless obstacles. A shocking conspiracy emerges amid controversial claims and evidence uncovered by Lieutenant Stuart Cush (Cumberbatch).
