Synopsis of Theater of the Absurd

Director Chen Zhiyang (played by Ao Jianian) filmed an irreparable scene that caused him and the creative crew to be banned from the industry for the next ten years. Ten years later, producer Herman (played by Zheng Danrui) found his boss to invest in the movie, so he summoned Zhiyang, female screenwriter Shasha (played by Jiang Jiamin), martial arts instructor Master Wen (played by Lin Wei), art director Shell (played by Lin Xiuyi), and female star Jia Ling (played by Zhang Xiuwen) and assistant director A Le (played by Liu Songpeng) gathered together again. As a result, the boss died unexpectedly, and everyone had no money to pay for the restaurant's sky-high menu. At the critical moment, screenwriter Sha Sha came up with a clever plan, and everyone started to stage a mysterious gourmet drama, and successfully had a "king meal". These seven desperate filmmakers discovered that filmmakers are the best pimps! So in order to raise funds for making movies, Zhiyang led everyone to use their talents to plan one scam after another...
