Synopsis of Deceit

This drama, written by Emiliadi Girolamo, tells the story of the 1992 true crime incident - the rape and murder of Rachel Nickell. At that time, the police believed that Colin Stagg was the real murderer but there was insufficient evidence. In desperation, the young detective decided to cooperate with a domestic criminal profiler and conduct a very bold undercover operation. Niamh Algar plays undercover police officer Lizzie James, who is assigned to approach the suspect Colin Stagg and seduce him. In addition, the reality is that Colin Stagg is not the real murderer. The murderer is Robert Napper. In 2008, the British Home Office had to pay Colin Stagg 706,000 pounds in compensation.
