Synopsis of A Place of One's Own

Ah Zhe (played by Wu Qihua) has become one of the top ten fund managers in Hong Kong at a young age and has been working in an investment company in Central. Azhe's boss is a narrow-minded person. Once he received inside information but deliberately did not disclose it to Azhe, which resulted in Azhe's investment failure and his position in the company fell to the bottom. Later, he tried every means to exclude him. Azhe couldn't bear it anymore and decided to start his own investment company. His subordinate Achang (played by Ruan Zhaoxiang) decided to follow him to start a business. Although the two of them had great plans, they lacked start-up capital. Ah Zhe remembered that his father had a piece of land in his hometown in Tai O, so he decided to transfer the land in order to obtain cash. Azhe and Achang returned to Tai O and met the local girl Kaixin (played by Chen Songling) and her family. The happy father, Uncle Gen (played by Yuan Hua), is the village chief here. His family's shrimp paste factory happens to be built on the land owned by Azhe's father. Azhe found out that Uncle Zhong, the only person in the village who could prove that the land belonged to his father, had emigrated. They happened to miss Uncle Zhong who had just come back to visit relatives, so the two had to live in Tai O and wait for Uncle Zhong to come back again. Uncle Gen mistakenly believed that Azhe and Kaixin had fallen in love with each other, so he began to try his best to match...
