Synopsis of The Newsreader Season 1
The series is set in the chaotic world of a television newsroom. The story begins in 1986, when Halley's Comet is a must-see, the AIDS crisis is spreading, and the Challenger explosion shocked the world. In this news world, newscaster Helen Norville (Anna Torv) is determined to establish her credibility, while her colleague Dale Jennings (Sam Reid) aspires to become a newscaster.
