Synopsis of Dr. Death

Jamie Dornan ("Fifty Shades of Grey"), Alec Baldwin and Christian Slater will star in the true crime limited series "Doctor Death". Tells the famous true story: the sociopathic "murderous doctor" Christopher Duntsch killed and maimed 33 patients. He is played by Dornan, with Baldwin and Slater playing the other two doctors who help capture him. Duntsch is a neurosurgeon in Dallas, USA. He is a rising star in the medical field. He is smart and charming. However, when he is supposed to treat diseases and save lives, he secretly attacks patients, causing fatal injuries to people when they are most vulnerable. After accepting the complex but complicated work he has done, After routine spinal surgery, 33 patients died or became paralyzed or disabled. Duntsch remained free for several years, until colleagues discovered something was wrong, two doctors and an assistant prosecutor began to explore his crimes. In 2017, he was sentenced to life imprisonment, the first case in U.S. history of a "doctor being convicted for his conduct in the operating room."
