Synopsis of Heist Season 1
DirtyRobber, the production company behind the 2021 Academy Award-winning short film "Two Distant Strangers," has teamed up with Emmy-nominated director Derek Donyon to launch a new Netflix documentary series documenting It tells the story of the three largest thefts in contemporary American history and the mastermind behind the thefts. A 21-year-old woman stole millions of dollars in cash from a Las Vegas casino. An aspiring father made off with a fortune at a Miami airport... and used a TV show to learn how to get away with it. A Kentucky father is accused of committing one of the largest bourbon thefts in history. The series uses dynamic scene reenactments, first-person narration and a fast-paced style to perfectly blend with classic film elements such as "Ocean's Eleven" and "Cat and Mouse". Director Derek Donyon ("The Mountain" ), Martin Desmond Rowe ("Two Distant Strangers") and Nick Frew ("We Are the Champions") are each responsible for a heist, with each heist told over two episodes.
