Synopsis of The Oasis of Now

Ramin Medipour, 13, and his family from Iran have been living in a refugee center in Finland. Just as Lamin was enjoying his school holidays, the family received devastating news - their asylum application had been rejected. The Medipour couple made a final appeal and despite facing the risk of deportation, they continued to go about their daily lives and tried to maintain a positive attitude. As Lamin begins a new school year, every moment and every friendship will be more precious than ever.
