Synopsis of The Aoba family's food

Yuko, who dreamed of entering an art school, used her summer vacation to study short-term painting courses abroad. Therefore, she stayed at the home of her mother's old friend Aoba Haruko, and met Haruko's son Riku, Haruko's friend Akiko, and her boyfriend Kufu. Although the family members are unusual, the delicacies on the Aoba family's table make them feel like a family. Tomoyo is a talented TV chef, and Yuko is desperate to prove that she too is special in order to escape her mother's shadow. She quickly made new friends at the art school and met the boy she liked. She and Riku both liked the same indie band and even joined his amateur band. While exploring her self-worth and future, she also learned that Chunzi and her mother had lost contact for 20 years due to a long-term relationship. Under the influence of Yuko, Haruko mustered up the courage to visit her old friend Tomoyo and rebuild the old relationship... Emerging director Sou Matsumoto interweaves food, music, friendship and love into a fresh and refined summer growth chapter. Starring Nishida Naomi, it uses the relationship between two generations to contrast the subtle emotions common among people. Just like a table of carefully cooked delicious meals, all kinds of life flavors can be tasted in the heart.
