Synopsis of Mothering Sunday

Odessa Young, Josh O'Connor, Olivia Colman, and Colin Firth will star in the new film "Mothering Sunday" (tentative translation). The film is directed by Eva Yuson ("Daughters of the Sun"), and Alice Birch ("Lady Macbeth", "Normal People") will write the script adapted from Graham Swift's novel. The story takes place in 1924. The Nivens (played by Faith and Coleman) went to a luncheon where the neighbor's son Paul (played by O'Connor) was engaged to Emma. The Niven family's maid Jane (played by Yang) therefore She was happy for her freedom as she took the day off to celebrate Mother's Day. For the past seven years, she has been Paul's lover happily and without any shame. This time they were finally able to meet for the first time in Paul's bedroom. Today will be their last meeting as lovers. The film is scheduled to start filming in the UK this autumn.
