Synopsis of Shall We Dance?

The middle-aged man Sugiyama Shohei (played by Yakusho Koji) is an ordinary office worker. He works hard and has a successful career, but he finds that his nine-to-five life is empty and boring. One day after get off work, Sugiyama, who was tired, accidentally looked through the car window and saw the figure of a delicate-looking woman beside the window of a building with the words "Kishikawa Dance School" on the opposite side of the station. Looking at the woman staring into the distance, Sugiyama was struck by her loneliness. deeply attracted by his expression. A few days later, Sugiyama, who could not restrain his curiosity, walked into this dance school and began to learn ballroom dancing. The woman he saw was Mai Kishikawa (played by Mindai Kusanagi), the teacher of this dance classroom.
