Synopsis of Why Try to Change Me Now

The play is adapted from Shuang Xuetao's novel of the same name, telling the story of the past that was revealed by the murder of a taxi driver. Zhuang Shu (played by Dong Zijian), a former rebellious boy, became a criminal police officer and was responsible for investigating old cases from seven years ago. The suspects gradually pointed to the father and daughter next door who left beautiful memories for him when he was a child. As the investigation deepened, a cigarette butt brought the case to light. The criminal police sadly discovered that he might also be a participant in the tragedy that year.
