Synopsis of Ripley

Tom Ripley is a con man barely scraping by in early 1960s New York. A wealthy man hires him to travel to Italy to convince his wandering son to come home. Tom accepts the job and takes his first step toward a complicated life of deception, fraud and murder. This limited series is based on Patricia Highsmith's bestselling novel Tom Ripley. 　　Andrew Scott stars as Tom Ripley; Dakota Fanning as Maggie Sherwood; and Johnny Flynn as Dicky Greenleaf.
